Hearing Conservation Specialist RN

Overview We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to support and administer a comprehensive Hearing Conservation Program (HCP) in an occupational health setting. This role is responsible for conducting audiometric testing, monitoring employee hearing health, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Conduct baseline, annual, and follow-up audiometric testing for employees exposed to occupational noise Identify and document Standard Threshold Shifts (STS) and initiate appropriate follow-up actions Educate employees on hearing conservation, proper use of hearing protection, and noise exposure risks Ensure compliance with OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard Maintain accurate and confidential medical surveillance records Calibrate and maintain audiometric equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements Collaborate with occupational health staff, safety teams, and management Coordinate referrals for further medical evaluation when needed Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Completion of a CAOHC-approved Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC) certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) Minimum of 1–3 years of nursing experience (occupational health or related field preferred) Ability to obtain secret or equivalent clearance (current clearance preferred) Preferred Qualifications Experience in occupational health, employee health, or industrial settings Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations Experience working on federal or government contracts #J-18808-Ljbffr Vqops
