Fleet Maintenance Manager

Position Summary Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager with a strong technical and mechanical background to oversee a high-volume fleet operation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing repair operations, inventory, and maintenance workflows while ensuring fleet reliability, cost control, and operational efficiency. The preferred location will be in-between Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, NJ. The position will manage 6 stations and will require some travel. Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm The benefits of belonging – what’s in it for you? Full benefits within 30 days Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance 401(k) Match program Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University Employee referral program, up to $1,000 bonus ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus Employee recognition platform that includes opportunities to redeem points for merchandise Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 24/7 nurse triage line Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion What the Fleet Manager role looks like: Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control Review repair estimates, invoices, and warranty claims for accuracy Coordinate with clients, dealerships, and vendor service providers to ensure quality work Ensure compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to operation What our ideal candidate looks like: Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience Strong technical/mechanical background (hands‑on experience preferred) Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards Working Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants.
