Senior Accountant

$90,000–$100,000 Base Rodell Search is partnering with a growing $100M technology services company in San Antonio to identify a Senior Accountant for a growing accounting and finance team. About the Role The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger . This position will work closely with the broader accounting and finance team and will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Own and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes . Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries. Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances. Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules. Assist with revenue, expense, prepaid, fixed asset, and other accounting activities. Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash-related accounting activities as needed. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Research accounting issues and help implement process improvements. Support the annual audit and provide requested schedules and documentation. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes . Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Why This Opportunity?
