Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Help clients with mobility, transfers, and walking.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed.
Remind clients to take medications (as permitted by state regulations).
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal cleanup.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.
Observe and report changes in the client's physical or mental condition to supervisors or family members.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Need active NJ CHHA license.
Previous caregiving, home health, or nursing assistant experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Ability to lift and assist clients when necessary.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required by some employers).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for positions requiring travel).
