Workers Compensation Coordinator

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Coordinator to manage the full authorization process for patient care. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely approvals, accurate documentation, and effective communication between providers, insurance carriers, attorneys, and patients. This is a fast-paced position managing a high volume of cases, so strong organization and follow-through are a must. What You’ll Do Prepare and submit medical documentation and authorization requests to workers’ compensation insurance carriers Complete and manage Louisiana state forms (1009s and 1010s) with full supporting documentation Track deadlines and ensure compliance with Louisiana Workers’ Compensation guidelines and timelines Investigate and appeal denied or modified treatment requests, collaborating with physicians when needed Communicate treatment recommendations and medical necessity to insurance carriers Serve as a liaison between physicians, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and patients Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all case activity Coordinate approved care, including referrals and follow-up with outside providers Obtain missing medical records and verify patient account setup Act as a point of contact for patients regarding workers’ compensation processes Provide training and guidance to staff on WC-related procedures Stay up to date on Louisiana WC regulations and changes What You Bring Previous experience with workers’ compensation cases (Louisiana experience strongly preferred) Knowledge of LAWC, Maritime, Jones Act, Longshoreman, and Department of Labor WC processes Familiarity with CPT codes and medical terminology Strong understanding of authorization, documentation, and appeals processes Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders Ability to manage a high volume of cases with accuracy and efficiency Benefits Competitive pay (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) retirement plan Opportunities for growth and advancement Stable Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends) #J-18808-Ljbffr
