The Division of Education and Training at The Fenway Institute (TFI-DET) is serving as the Capacity Building Provider (CBP) for Street Medicine Interventions for People with HIV who are Unsheltered, a four-year (2025-2029) national initiative to improve health outcomes for people with HIV who are out of care and unsheltered or unstably housed. Street medicine refers to client-centered healthcare and services provided directly to people in their own environment (such as streets, parks, bridges) and tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. This initiative is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) through a four-year national cooperative agreement (2025-2029) to implement, evaluate, and nationally disseminate street medicine interventions for people with HIV. The CBP is responsible for providing technical assistance and training to support implementation of street medicine interventions at nine organizations funded by the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP). The CBP is also developing and disseminating accessible, printed, and multimedia products to promote the national replication and scale-up of street medicine in HIV service delivery organizations.

TFI-DET collaborates with an Evaluation Provider (EP), which has a separate cooperative agreement from HRSA to manage the multisite evaluation of the initiative.

Function :

Working closely with the Program Director and the Director of Curriculum and Dissemination, and under the supervision of the Program Director, the Dissemination Specialist will apply project management expertise to ensure that all intervention dissemination materials are completed on time and in accordance with program and federal standards, priorities, and guidelines. To that end, the Dissemination Specialist will develop and manage complex timelines and work plans, track deliverable progress in spreadsheets, and maintain effective, ongoing communication with project partners, contractors, consultants, and vendors. The Dissemination Specialist will also lead the planning and execution of twice yearly, in-person Demonstration Site Convenings that bring together staff from the nine demonstration sites, the CBP, EP, HRSA, and other project partners.

This position is funded through a federal cooperative agreement that is supported through July 31, 2029.

Representative Duties:

  • Manages Project Dissemination
  • Leads the Dissemination and Publication Committee for the CBP, including developing the agenda, facilitating meetings, and collaborating with the EP and HRSA.
  • Oversees the Dissemination Work Plan, which includes developing and monitoring deliverable timelines and ensuring timely delivery through effective communication with the Director of Curriculum and Dissemination, HRSA, the EP, and other stakeholders.
  • Serves as the central contact for trainers, contractors, and vendors in the development, preparation, and delivery of trainings and multimedia tools. This includes facilitating and scheduling meetings.
  • Manages contracting and invoicing for external consultants, including Advisory Council members and others hired to develop, present, or review dissemination products and trainings.
  • Supports the Director of Curriculum and Dissemination in quality control and consistency of training and replication materials, including reviewing and formatting presentations and resources.
  • Designs and implements processes to solicit feedback on dissemination products from demonstration sites and project partners.
  • Facilitates collaboration among the CBP, EP, subject matter experts, and demonstration sites on the development and review of replication materials.
  • Oversees dissemination of replication materials in collaboration with other team members, including collaborating with HRSA to upload materials to the HIV Resource Hub and collaborating with partner organizations to direct content from appropriate websites and social media sites.
  • Manages Planning and Implementation of Bi-Annual Demonstration Site Meetings
  • Leads the planning subcommittee responsible for the twice-yearly Demonstration Site Convening
  • Identifies and reaches out to faculty and other external trainers for their participation
  • Coordinates meeting space, catering, travel, and related logistics
  • Manages contracting and ensures payment for consultants, catering, etc.
  • Meets Agency Participatory Expectations
  • Adheres to all agency and departmental policies and procedures
  • Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities as requested
  • Adheres to established safety policies, procedures, and precautions
  • Attends all required meetings, in-services, and professional trainings
  • Maintains professional competence necessary to perform job responsibilities; maintains and provides agency with records of continuing education activities
  • Serves on agency committees and in professional organizations when requested
  • Maintains own professional growth
  • Enhances current knowledge of HIV treatment, street medicine, and related content by reading journal articles and other publications, and by attending conferences and trainings, and other available learning opportunities
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least three (3) years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in time management skills with a proven ability to create realistic timelines and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading and facilitating virtual and in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize assigned duties
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in small groups
  • Ability to travel twice a year to Washington, D.C. for 3-4 days each
  • Ability and willingness to work East Coast hours, regardless of home state

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Zoom and Teams and other online tools for the delivery of training and technical assistance highly desired
  • Experience working with an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse work staff
  • Experience working with HIV care or prevention organizations such as Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program settings
  • LGBTQIA+ people and people of color are strongly encouraged to apply
