Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their health.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams, including physicians and nursing staff, to ensure seamless patient care and discharge planning.

• Facilitate effective discharge planning by coordinating with third-party payers and additional health service providers to arrange comprehensive support post-hospitalization.

• Provide education and counseling to patients and families, addressing issues related to coping with illnesses and making necessary adjustments in their lives.

• Employ various therapy modalities, including crisis intervention and both individual and group therapy, to address diverse patient needs.

• Respond to after-hour calls as part of an on-call rotation, ensuring that patients receive timely support.

• Lead educational initiatives, such as workshops and conferences, to share expertise in psychosocial oncology and educate fellow healthcare professionals.

• Actively participate in community outreach programs to enhance awareness and accessibility of mental health services, especially for cancer survivors.

• Support the professional growth of junior clinical social workers, providing supervision, mentorship, and guidance in their development.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The pay range for this role is competitive, offering a salary between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
