We're scaling rapidly across both the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and a growing base of commercial health systems - two very different operating environments with one shared bar: the note has to be safe, complete, and trustworthy, every time, for every clinician who depends on it in real time.

The Opportunity

We're at a critical inflection point. Over the next 90 days, this role will drive massive scaling across our federal and commercial portfolios.

We need a Clinical Implementation Specialist who is equal parts clinician, implementation scientist, and clinical informaticist - someone who can stand in front of a room of skeptical physicians one hour and sit inside an AI prompt the next, tracing a clinician's error report back to its root cause. You'll be the clinical voice our users trust, and the clinical judgment behind how our AI is tuned, turning what you hear on the front line into documentation that's safe, complete, and trusted by the providers who sign it.

Day to day, that means onboarding new sites and clinicians, running training, building the clinical champion network that makes adoption durable rather than a one-time launch event, and leading recovery at sites that are struggling. You'll do this one clinician at a time and at scale, often in the same week: coaching a new user through their first generated note, and building the curriculum and playbook that carry that result everywhere else.

This role reports to the Director of Customer Delivery and works in daily partnership with the rest of Customer Delivery, and directly with Engineering (including the Technical Product Manager and on-call engineers) to close the loop between what clinicians experience and what the product does.

What You'll Do

Onboarding, Training Delivery & Coaching 30%

• Conduct live virtual training sessions for clinicians across all specialties and both federal and commercial sites (physicians, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, mental health providers)
• Present at approved provider and leadership staff meetings to provide platform updates, training, and support
• Lead virtual office hours and recurring Q&A sessions providing just-in-time workflow support to users at every stage, from brand-new to long-tenured
• Onboard and coach new users individually through early activation, adapting your approach to specialty, technical comfort, and sector (federal vs. commercial)
• Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to build capacity among Site POCs and Clinical Champions
• Track training attendance, completion, satisfaction, and time-to-activation; feed findings back into training content and coaching approach

Training & Educational Materials 15%

• Develop and maintain training curriculum, job aids, and education resources for both federal and commercial audiences, including specialty-specific modules
• Update materials continuously based on product changes, user feedback, and clinical best practice - this is a living library, not a one-time build
• Design self-paced and asynchronous resources so coaching capacity scales with user volume rather than growing linearly with it
• Develop release communication for feature updates and product changes - external materials for users, and internal briefings that prepare Customer Support and Implementation before rollout

Clinical Champion Network 10%

• Identify Clinical Champions through both adoption data and relationships built in the field, then recruit and develop them to extend adoption support within their own facilities
• Build and facilitate an active Clinical Champion community of practice - peer learning, shared best practices, and a channel that surfaces problems early
• Sustain engagement over time, not just at launch; a champion network that goes quiet within a quarter isn't doing its job

Implementation Strategy & Service Recovery 20%

• Develop and execute implementation strategy for new and scaling sites across both sectors
• Diagnose and lead service recovery for sites in one of two distinct situations - initial adoption struggles (never really got going) and negative first-experience recovery (tried it, had a bad early experience, and are now skeptical or vocal) - and tailor your intervention to which one you're facing
• Conduct workflow assessments to identify integration opportunities and barriers, and translate findings into a concrete site-level plan
• Identify patterns across sites - the failure modes that repeat, the interventions that consistently work - and document them in the implementation playbook so the next site starts ahead of where the last one did

AI Prompt Judgment & Clinical Quality 20%

• Build and maintain deep product understanding - how the AI generates notes, where prompts and templates drive behavior, and where the boundaries of the model's clinical judgment are
• Interpret clinician-reported concerns and errors (missing findings, fabricated content, incorrect clinical reasoning) and perform root cause analysis to distinguish a prompt issue from a workflow issue from a genuine model limitation
• Recommend prompt changes and carry them through implementation, grounded in clinical judgment, safety, and quality standards - with the sole aim of keeping note output safe, complete, and aligned with provider expectations
• Escalate patient safety concerns immediately per protocol; no finding sits unreviewed
• Partner on the Clinical Quality Scoring Rubric and documentation audit findings where they intersect with training or prompt behavior

Cross-Functional Partnership with Engineering 5%

• Work directly with the Technical Product Manager and on-call engineers to resolve live, customer-facing issues in real time
• Serve as the trusted clinical voice inside product and engineering discussions - translating a clinician's frustration into a specific, actionable problem statement and making the clinical case for prioritization
• Contribute to longer-term product and feature discussions informed by frontline patterns, not just individual tickets

Who You Are

CLINICAL BACKGROUND

• Active clinical license (RN, NP, PA, PharmD, or equivalent) with 5+ years of direct patient care experience
• Understanding of clinical documentation requirements, EHR workflows, and medical decision-making across specialties
• Comfort operating in both federal (VA) and commercial healthcare environments - or a credible plan for ramping into whichever side is less familiar
• Understanding of HIPAA, medical-legal documentation standards, and quality requirements

IMPLEMENTATION SCIENCE, INFORMATICS & AI

• Experience with implementation science frameworks (RE-AIM, CFIR) or equivalent structured approaches to adoption and change management
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone, or equivalent) on a clinical, workflow, or quality problem
• Direct or adjacent experience with AI/NLP prompt design, prompt evaluation, or clinical documentation improvement technologies - you don't need to have built models, but you need to be comfortable reasoning about how a prompt change would or wouldn't fix a reported error
• Comfort working from product analytics and dashboards to identify patterns, not just anecdotes

TRAINING & EDUCATION

• 3+ years developing and delivering clinical education or healthcare IT training
• Demonstrated ability to build effective curriculum and measure its impact beyond satisfaction scores (retention, behavior change, time-to-activation)
• Experience with virtual training platforms and comfort presenting to groups from 5 to 100+
• Track record adapting delivery across specialties and audiences with different technical proficiency

COMMUNICATION & JUDGMENT

• Exceptional verbal and written communication; able to earn a skeptical clinician's trust quickly
• Strong collaborator across internal teams, with the credibility to advocate for clinical needs in technical discussions
• Comfortable delivering an executive briefing on short notice, then answering a support ticket an hour later - this role moves fluidly between strategic and hands-on work
• Sound clinical and ethical judgment under time pressure, particularly around patient safety escalation

MINDSET

• Entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to pick up work that doesn't have an obvious owner
• Genuinely mission-driven - motivated by what's at stake when the technology in question touches real-time clinical care, not just another SaaS rollout
• Sees Engineering, Product, and the rest of Customer Delivery as partners, not separate lanes - inclined to bring people in early instead of arriving with a finished answer

Strongly preferred

• Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, Medical Education, Clinical Informatics, or related field
• Experience with ambient AI, clinical documentation improvement, or speech recognition technologies
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-scaling environment where role boundaries were fluid
• VA clinical experience (staff clinician, clinical educator, or clinical informaticist) and commercial health system experience
• Section 508 accessibility compliance experience
