Job Description
This position requires a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to work on the 3rd shift at a production facility. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical components and equipment, primarily focusing on reactive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components.
• Diagnose and fix issues with mixers, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic pumps.
• Address problems with palletizers, shrink wrappers, and other packaging equipment.
• Repair pneumatic components.
• Assist with capital expenditure projects as necessary.
• Collaborate with the lead to prioritize tasks.
• Interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Analyze ladder logic to identify faults, particularly using ABB, Siemens PLCs.
• Spend 95% of the time on mechanical troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting pumps, motors, conveyors, and mixers.
• Ability to read and utilize blueprints and schematics.
• Possession of personal tools.
• Knowledge and understanding of PLC systems and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mixing or food manufacturing environment is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
