Field Service TechnicianLinde Inc.New York, NY, United States | req31099What you will enjoy doing:Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot air separation plants at customer sitesServe as the primary technician responsible for assigned plant locations and diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues independentlyPerform routine maintenance and calibration on compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating), gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valvesMonitor plant performance and implement actions to maintain or improve efficiencyEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsManage daily work schedules, maintenance activities, and operational prioritiesCoordinate internal teams and external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and auditsMaintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentationCommunicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership regarding plant status and issuesSupport multiple locations as needed, including occasional travel outside assigned areaAssist with onboarding and training of new technicians when requiredWhat makes you great:High school diploma required; associate's degree in a technical field preferredTwo to five (2–5) years of operations or technical experience preferredAbility to safely perform physical job requirements, including driving a service vehicle (2–3 hours daily, up to 8 hours as needed), walking on uneven industrial terrain, bending and stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting 5–15 lbs regularly, 15–45 lbs intermittently, and 45–75 lbs occasionallyPerforming hands-on work using hand tools and power toolsAbility to perform administrative tasks and computer work as needed (1–2 hours daily)Willing to participate in an on-call rotation with 24/7 availability using a company-issued phone and laptopAbility to meet physical and job requirements with or without reasonable accommodationWhy you will love working with us:Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
