Job Title: Electrician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled electrician who is adept at bending EMT conduit ranging from 3/4 inch to 1 inch. You will be working at Norfolk State University, primarily focusing on running and bending conduit. You must demonstrate the ability to bend EMT conduit upon arrival as part of the initial assessment.
Responsibilities

• Bend EMT conduit ranging from 3/4 inch to 1 inch.
• Work independently to complete electrical construction tasks.
• Conduct wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting.
• Pull and run conduit efficiently.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction and quality.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and follow through on assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of construction electrical experience.
• Proficiency in working with conduit and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working on hospitals is a plus.
• Possession of a Journeyman or Master's license is an advantage.
• Capability to meet physical demands including lifting, carrying, bending, crawling, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing PPE including a hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. You must be comfortable working in various weather conditions as the project is outdoors.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Direct placement company vehicle if they perform well Overtime benefits after 60 days
