Position Overview

This position involves providing technical skills in radiology and fluoroscopy, producing and processing images of various anatomical structures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images by setting proper exposure factors and positioning patients according to A.L.A.R.A. guidelines.
• Operate a diversified combination of technical equipment and software related to radiology.
• Prepare and administer contrast materials to patients as required.
• Assist in special procedures and examinations.
• May focus on specific anatomical imaging, such as the chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedic systems.
• Cross-train in additional modalities as per department policy #1080.

Qualifications

• Certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent is required, with registry eligibility accepted.
• State licensure in radiography may or may not be required.
• A Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check is required.

Please note that the position is located in rural Gunnison, CO, which does not have public transportation. Therefore, reliable access to transportation is essential.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability from Thursday to Monday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
