The salary range for this position is between $400,000 to $500,000 annually. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation plan.

Position description

The University of California Davis, Eye Center, is accepting applications for a highly qualified early or mid-career, full-time, vitreoretinal surgeon with subspecialty training in uveitis. This position is designed for an individual who will be active in clinical care and research. The candidate must have an interest and experience in teaching and research with track record of independent research funding. Responsibilities include: clinical patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows; university service, and a commitment to scientific investigation.

This recruitment is conducted at the assistant and associate professor rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, considering the appointee's qualifications.

The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, be board certified, completed an AUPO-FCC certified retina fellowship program, and uveitis fellowship training, and possess unrestricted licensure in the state of California. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, be board certified, completed an AUPO-FCC certified Retina and Uveitis fellowship program, and possess unrestricted licensure in the state of California.

Demonstrable commitment to the University's mission of research, teaching, and service.

Award achievements in outstanding clinical care, published work in relation to ophthalmology, and/or grant funding.
