Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy Opportunity in Shreveport, LA

Start Date: 09/21/2026

End Date: 12/19/2026

Shift: 8-hour days, Monday-Friday, no weekends

Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

Employment Type: Part-Time

Licenses/Certifications: Current LA PT license (or LA PTA license if applicable), BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred

Experience: 1+ years in specialty

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30

What You'll Do

  • Manage a caseload independently working with complex patient populations
  • Provide care for patients with spinal cord injuries, TBI, strokes, amputees, and more
  • Treat acute surgical and medically complex patients, including post-cardiac and orthopedic procedures
  • Support outpatient services such as general orthopedics, sports medicine, and neuro-specific diagnoses
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient progress using EMR systems like EPIC, Meditech Expanse, or Wellsky
  • Attend departmental and hospital orientations to ensure smooth onboarding

What You Need

Required:

  • Valid Louisiana PT or PTA license
  • Ability to work independently with a diverse patient group
  • Experience with inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient ortho, or neuro rehab

Preferred:

  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Experience working with medically complex or debilitated patients
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment This position offers a full spectral of inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing patient care within a supportive hospital environment. You'll work with experienced supervisors, assistant directors, and peer therapists to deliver top-quality therapy services. The hours are stable, with no weekend or holiday coverage required. Parking is free, and scrub color options are available according to department standards.
