Job Title: Payroll Specialist Contract: Contract-to-hire Location: Chicago, IL Hourly: $28-33/hr (based on experience) Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week Benefits: For eligible employees we offer medical, dental, vision, and 401K

Job Description:

Process high-volume, multi-state payroll for assigned locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery using UKG and related systems
Import, audit, and balance timekeeping data, resolve discrepancies, and partner with HR, Finance, and department leaders on payroll approvals
Manage payroll reporting, journal entries, wage attachments, and provide support for audits and ad hoc requests
Collaborate as part of a team-oriented payroll function, continuously improving processes while maintaining confidentiality and strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

3+ years payroll processing experience
UKG / UltiPro
Processed for 400+ employees
