Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy operations, with potential for temp-to-direct hire. This mid-shift position runs Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with one weekend shift per month.

Location: Brookfield, WI
Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Mid shift)
Schedule: One weekend shift per month

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage issues.
• Ensure prescribed medicines are appropriate and safe for patients.
• Maintain confidential, accurate patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Offer consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage and dosage guidelines.
• Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for both internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions using established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license.
• Pharmacy experience, with LTC experience considered a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques.
