Litigation Partner

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Partner in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience in tort and complex litigation, with a strong track record as a first-chair trial attorney. This role offers the opportunity to lead a growing practice within a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties Act as first-chair trial counsel in complex litigation matters. Lead strategy, case management, and litigation from investigation through resolution. Work extensively with expert witnesses in preparing cases for trial. Handle depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. Supervise and mentor associate attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on multi-disciplinary matters. Travel as needed for client meetings, depositions, and trials. Provide proactive and strategic legal counsel to clients. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing in Wisconsin or Illinois state and federal courts. Minimum of ten years of tort and complex litigation experience, including proven first-chair trial work. Extensive experience working with experts in litigation. Strong legal writing, organization, and case management skills. Exceptional communication skills. Ability to manage a high volume of work accurately and efficiently. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed billable hours and revenue expectations. Portable book of business is a plus but not required. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed and in good standing in Wisconsin or Illinois state and federal courts. Skills Strong legal writing, organization, and case management skills.
