Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse

This role is an Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse position located in Gallup, NM, offering a temporary-to-permanent assignment with competitive weekly compensation. The nurse will coordinate and support surgical teams, ensuring patient safety and smooth operation of the OR. Key Responsibilities:

1. Function as a Circulator RN in the Operating Room, coordinating and delivering patient care throughout the surgical process
2. Prepare the OR for procedures by ensuring necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile
3. Assist surgical teams during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
4. Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout the surgery and report any changes
5. Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and comfort
6. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
7. Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia staff, scrub techs, and other members of the surgical team

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico (or compact license)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR certification
• Associate degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR circulator experience

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
