PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Location: 3801 N. Lamar, Austin Texas 78756 Building: Heart Hospital Floor: 1-3 Quantity:1 Shift: 7:30am to 4pm Call Requirements none General Information Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds -72
• Number of Staff – 2 PT, 1 OT, PRN ST

· Type of staff: o Day Shift – ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) o Night Shift -

• Type of equipment -
• Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) –Y, 1 FT PT

Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Acute care experience including ICU/CCU as may be the only PT on weekends Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Wound care—preferred but not necessary List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Best personality Fit:

• Respectful of manager, patients, staff; attention to safety, friendly/caring; manages time/attendance independently
• Able to participate in high level of coordination and communication throughout day

Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. · Scrub Color - carribean blue or khaki bottom/navy polo Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. · Hospital has won multiple local and national recognitions 2023/2024 Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent . Being a small hospital, communication is very good between providers and therapy and it is easy to get assistance with patient or staff needs; it is a very supportive environment. We use imobile to communicate with each other and with the hospitalists, case managers, RN's. The 2 staff PT's have 15 and 30+ years of experience and one is a certified wound care therapist.
