Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – GI/Bronchoscopy Procedural Services – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Day and evening coverage. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to stay past scheduled shift to complete the day's procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms.

Highlights:

• Provide direct patient care for GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation using an RN-driven assessment approach with Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring
• Manage pre/post procedure care for all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery; recover patients from both moderate sedation and general anesthesia
• Work within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma Center ranked as Wisconsin's leading hospital and nationally recognized teaching institution
• Epic EMR experience required; 32 hours of orientation provided
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in procedural or endoscopy nursing
• Recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures required
• Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• CGRN certification preferred
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart blocks, 80% overall passing score)
• Proficiency in airway management, IV placement and maintenance, conscious sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12-lead EKG
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
• Floating to other units as needed
