Work Environment

This onsite role operates at our well-equipped outpatient office located in Yonkers, NY. The work environment is designed for optimal patient care and includes treatment rooms equipped with the latest therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient goals and needs through detailed evaluations and subjective assessments to create individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, delivering focused, one-on-one care that addresses specific challenges and enhances functionality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide effective orthopedic interventions, emphasizing active treatments that promote mobility while minimizing medication reliance.
• Design and implement personalized exercise and rehabilitation programs that cater to each patient's unique condition and long-term wellness objectives.
• Foster a motivational environment, encouraging patients to actively participate in their recovery journey by setting attainable milestones.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress, modify treatment approaches as necessary, and maintain detailed records of all services delivered.
• Educate patients on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and home exercise regimens to promote ongoing wellness post-treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance who are seeking rehabilitation services for orthopedic conditions. Patients often present with a range of issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will play a vital role in helping them restore their movement and maintain their independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York is mandatory.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions have been taken against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and their application in orthopedic settings.
• Strong capability in creating effective exercise prescriptions tailored to individual needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of direct experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic practice. Familiarity with sports rehabilitation techniques and a passion for patient engagement will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
