Document Control Data Specialist / Drafting

What You’ll Be Doing Provide document control and drafting services on‑site to support mill project engineering, maintenance, reliability, process, safety, operations, environmental, contractors, consultants, vendors, corporate personnel and decommissioning. This work will be performed under general supervision. Job Scope Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage Autodesk Vault document management system with 157,609 records. Assign equipment tag numbers, instruments, and pipeline numbering. Coordinate with Corporate for new SAP functional locations. Document control and drafting support. Update drawings using AutoCAD per maintenance revision updates & project needs. Eliminate files / cabinets containing non‑essential or duplicate data. Maintain drawing flat files. Scan drawings/documents and transfer electronically. Inventory drawings pending scanning. Create and print color posters for blood drives, community events, schedules, etc. Research equipment information per requests. Fulfill request for drawings (emailing pdfs, copying, printing). Maintain large format OCE 500 copier/scanner and HP630 color plotter & supplies. Participate in progress meetings and submit weekly reports. Ideal Background Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (advanced coursework preferred). Experience: 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in document control and administration. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of company and engineering document control standards. Understanding of construction plans and diagrams. Knowledge of large‑scale scanner and plotter operation. Ability to organize effectively. Extreme attention to detail. Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Web Collaboration Tools and Adobe Acrobat. Newforma experience preferred. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to comply with client procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
