Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Cardiac Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Cardiac Progressive Care experience Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5 Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Telemetry monitoring skills Management of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration Description: The registered nurse will provide care in a progressive cardiac care unit. Patient care is focused on cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and arrhythmias. Responsibilities include pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, monitoring patients, and managing complications. The nurse will be required to use telemetry and provide procedural sedation administration. The unit operates 7 days a week and provides round-the-clock care. Rooms are monitored remotely for patient safety. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Weekend shifts and holiday coverage may be necessary. Nurse assistants will be available for support 24/7. The facility utilizes a self-assisted scheduling system. Candidates must possess the ability to adapt to changing patient needs and department requirements. All registered nurses must pass a required EKG exam during the compliance process.
