Description Apple Farm Service is looking for a mechanically inclined problem solver to join our team as a Lawn & Garden Service Technician. This individual will help our customers by repairing lawn and garden machinery or small engine tractors, servicing all aspects of machinery, which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Apple Farm Service offers a generous compensation package that rewards productive candidates with bonuses on top of competitive hourly wages. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical errors on equipment Determine the extent of necessary repairs, including parts, labor, and any required tools Repair and replace what is necessary to complete the repair Read and understand information from schematics, manuals, and other necessary information Perform welding, brazing, and fabrications Complete work orders while collecting important data such as serial numbers, engine hours, acres, etc. Communicate between the service manager and service writer Communicate with the customer when necessary to inform them of any major issues Travel to the customer's location and work from a service truck Maintain current knowledge of products and technology through training and events Assist in special projects to maintain and improve the equipment lot, storefront, or other company property Experience Experience with servicing small engines, lawn and garden, or related machines (not required, but preferred) Technical training on diesel mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, or other related fields Experience with dealership information systems Pay Pay based on experience and work ethic. Time and a half paid for any hours worked over 40 hr/wk. New generous compensation bonus structure along with competitive hourly wages.
