Job Title : MBD Controls Engineer

Location : Syracuse, NY

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MBD Controls Engineer to support the development, verification, and validation of control systems using Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, control algorithm development, testing, and system performance validation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
Perform model-based verification and validation to ensure compliance with system requirements and performance targets.
Create, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests for control software and system functionality.
Utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and FMI tools for simulation, testing, and analysis.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot control-related issues, and implement corrective actions.
Support laboratory and system-level testing activities to improve product performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and sustainment efforts.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in control algorithm development, implementation, verification, and validation.
Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design (MBD).
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system verification.
Knowledge of thermal systems, simulations, and control system performance analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
