Construction Estimator

Terra Build is a luxury residential and development company focused on high-end custom homes, land development, and opportunistic real estate projects throughout Northeast Florida and beyond. Our projects range from waterfront estate homes and luxury residential communities to specialty development and construction opportunities. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge, estimating experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Position Overview The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed project budgets, bid packages, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses for luxury residential and development projects. This person will work closely with ownership, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately budgeted and positioned for successful execution. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential construction costs, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Responsibilities Prepare detailed construction estimates and budgets for residential and development projects Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses from plans and specifications Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Analyze plans, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and completeness Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers during preconstruction Track pricing trends and maintain updated cost databases Assist with budgeting during acquisition and feasibility stages Prepare bid packages, scopes of work, and estimate summaries Support project teams throughout preconstruction and construction phases Experience and Qualifications 3 to 7+ years of estimating experience in residential or commercial construction Luxury residential construction experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans Experience preparing detailed budgets and quantity takeoffs Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software Experience with project management and budgeting platforms preferred Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously What We Offer Opportunity to work on high-end luxury residential and development projects Fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment Competitive salary ($65,000 to $75,000) plus performance-based incentives Opportunity for long-term growth within a rapidly expanding company Direct exposure to ownership, acquisitions, and project strategy To Apply Please send your resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience and interest in the position to View email address on click.appcast.io.
