Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Director to lead our Childcare Center with passion and purpose. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure a nurturing environment for children, and foster strong relationships with families and staff. Your leadership will promote high-quality early childhood education, safety, and developmental growth for all children in our care. Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum focusing on childhood development, early education standards, and social-emotional learning.
• Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications such as pediatric first aid.
• Supervise classroom management practices, caregiver performance, and child supervision to maintain high standards of care.
• Facilitate effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates.
• Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate staff and manage staffing schedules.
• Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, incident reports, health documentation, and licensing requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children across different age groups in daycare or childcare settings.
• Demonstrated classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool environments.
• Prior leadership experience as a childcare director or center supervisor is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Strong understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
• Experience communicating effectively with parents and managing a team of educators committed to quality care.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing requirements for a childcare center director for a Type III Center.
• Possess the education and experience required under state childcare licensing regulations (See 78CSR1 section 9.1.h.4.).
• Leadership or supervisory experience in early childhood education or nonprofit management preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, financial management, and leadership skills.
• Successfully complete all required background checks.
