Details Work in the PACU unit of a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds High acuity patient population ages 12 and up in a fast-paced environment Receives patients from varied areas post-procedure after sedation, both outpatient and inpatient, including unstable ICU patients Performs procedures such as TEE, cardioversion, epidural block placement, and lumbar injections Patient ratio of 1:2 Uses Epic charting system Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 5:30 AM-4:00 PM, including Saturdays with variable days off On-call responsibilities required Floating within the hospital required No floating to sister hospitals Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required CCRN and CPI certifications preferred Relias EKG certification required Minimum 2 years of PACU experience, or 2 years of ICU experience (CVICU or SICU) from a Level II Trauma facility or larger, with willingness to train in PACU Level II Trauma experience required Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a variety of surgical and procedural interventions Monitor and manage patients following conscious sedation, general, local, and regional anesthesia Scrubs provided for OR personnel, any color accepted COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions First-time travelers considered if they have strong relevant ICU or PACU experience Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler RTO should be kept to a minimum and cannot be requested during the first two weeks or orientation week Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restriction American Traveler Job ID #P-738953.
