Ultrasound Technologist – Providence Healdsburg Hospital Location: Healdsburg, CA. Per Diem, 8‑hour variable shifts. Responsibilities Under the direction of a staff radiologist or cardiologist, prepares patients for and performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation by the radiologist or cardiologist. Operates ultrasound imaging and other related equipment, sends images to PACS, prepares the exam room, and maintains equipment and supplies. Transports patients to and from the department in a safe manner with wheelchairs or gurneys if needed. Available for standby as required. Assists as directed or assigned with the department performance improvement program. Required Qualifications Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire. National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire. Six months experience in an acute care setting; internships are acceptable for new graduates. Preferred Qualifications One year experience in an acute care setting. Experience with various manufacturers and models of ultrasound units.
