Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) – Mountain View, CA

Location: Mountain View, CA
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Pay: $56.84 – $59.52/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, on-site (with flexibility to work 3 or 4 days/week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at a community-based nonprofit facility in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you'll provide person-centered care to participants in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current California state license as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, appropriate insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Open to new graduates.
• Proficient in in-home evaluations, ADL assessments, home safety evaluations, and universal precautions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; compassion, patience, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Able to meet physical demands (lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver, reposition), including safely moving up to 35 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop person-centered care plans for incoming and active participants.
• Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team and help carry out the team's plan of care.
• Provide ADL care as needed, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and body mechanics training.
• Train staff on proper ADL techniques and body mechanics.
• Conduct in-home evaluations for home safety considerations and recommendations.
• Demonstrate safe practices through proper body mechanics, universal precautions, and environmental safety.
• Contribute to a welcoming environment and assist participants as needed.
• Supervise participants throughout the center to ensure safety, care, and comfort.
• Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
