Overview
Registered Nurse – MICU in Everett, Washington. This 13-week travel assignment begins 06/22/2026 and offers a weekly pay range of $1,796 to $1,857. Shift is 3x12-hour Days (06:30–19:00) in a high-acuity MICU within a Level II trauma center setting. Daily patient care is delivered with a focus on medically complex and critically ill adults. The assignment includes 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period, with the expectation that travelers may float to related units as census requires.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medically complex, critically ill adults in MICU, including patients requiring noninvasive or invasive ventilation
- Manage invasive lines and procedures (arterial and central lines) and assist with rapid sequence intubation, chest tube insertions/removals, and other critical procedures
- Monitor and titrate respiratory support (ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC); interpret ABGs and respond to changes in gas exchange
- Administer medications and vasoactive infusions, titrate drips, and manage sedation in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor for multisystem organ dysfunction, and respond to code events (code blue) with rapid intervention
- Perform and oversee bedside nursing tasks including central line care, infection prevention, isolation precautions, and routine PRN therapies; coordinate with Respiratory, Pharmacy, PT/OT, and other services
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC; participate in rounds, discharge planning, and family communication
- Provide bedside support with one CNA per shift; participate in unit-based staffing plans and potential float to related units as needed

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington state or a compact license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: minimum 2 years of MICU/critical care experience; trauma level II experience required
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
- Travel experience: required
- Unit/clinical experience: ability to manage ventilated patients, arterial/central lines, and complex hemodynamics
- Additional: willingness to float to Tele units as census requires; strong communication and teamwork skills
