White Elephant Resorts looking for a Boston based Sales & Marketing Manager who shares a passion for hospitality and must be enthusiastic, energetic, and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant would thrive in a team environment, has an understanding of luxury hospitality and be a willing ambassador for the White Elephant Resorts brand. Applicants must have the flexibility to travel to and from Nantucket, Palm Beach, Aspen and key local markets and be willing to work in office and/or on site at the hotels. This is not a remote based position.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales & Marketing Manager prospects and sells our collection of luxury resorts, hotels and inns to all markets, including corporate and social, while also overseeing the marketing and administrative functions that support the sales effort. 

Job split: Sales 80%/Marketing 20% 

Additional responsibilities are listed below:

Sales

• Identify and target new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and other potential clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling sales presentations and set goals for group room rates, room rental and food and beverage minimums.
• Be analytical in rate setting and negotiate contracts with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our brand and expand our client base.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.

Marketing & Coordination

• Oversee the administrative and marketing activities related to the group/catering sales effort, ensuring accurate, up-to-date client and booking information.
• Manage and update content across the brand's websites and digital channels.
• Support public relations efforts, including coordinating press stays, reservations, dining, and activities for media and VIP guests.
• Partner with other departments (front office, food & beverage, guest services) to coordinate VIP amenities, special requests, and service needs.
• Oversee data collection, database management, and monthly departmental reporting.

Our Requirements:

• We are looking for individuals who have solid selling and interpersonal skills and who demonstrate the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal and team goals.
• Proven track record in pursuing, evaluating, soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
• Experience in overseeing marketing, PR, or administrative sales support functions preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the group market.
• 3 years’ previous experience in a similar sales and/or marketing management role.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Role is based in Boston, full-time and in office. There is no remote work from home option. Some travel required, potentially overnight and weekends based on the needs of the business, predominantly to Nantucket, Palm Beach and Aspen.
• Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
• Valid US driver’s license 
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
