Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to the classroom and make a significant impact on students’ lives. This opportunity involves working in educational settings as a long-term substitute or full-time speech therapist, helping students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success.
Current openings include:
- A long-term substitute role spanning the entire academic year.
- A substitute position with a defined assignment from early September through late November.
- A full-time speech therapist position collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, and families.
Key qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or equivalent completed/underway.
- Previous experience in schools or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Enthusiasm for fostering student growth and building positive relationships.
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress.
- Maintain documentation, progress reports, and follow confidentiality protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to student support plans.
