Assistant Project Manager 
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers and field teams to help coordinate project activities, manage documentation, and support overall execution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of construction experience and is ready to take on more responsibility in a fast-paced general contractor environment.

Our client is an established GC known for strong preconstruction planning, cost control, and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in day-to-day project coordination
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Review drawings and specifications for scope accuracy
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates
• Assist with procurement and material tracking
• Support project closeout and punch list completion

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction experience
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects
• Basic understanding of project management processes and documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Experience with Procore or similar software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
