Job Title: Piping Estimator
Location: Woodridge, IL
Salary Rate: $100,000 - $135,000

We are working with a great MEP contractor that needs a piping estimator at its main office in Woodridge, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial and/or industrial HVAC and piping systems. If that sounds like you, please apply.

What You'll Do

• Perform quantity takeoffs for piping systems and mechanical equipment for industrial piping and mechanical systems.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates.
• Organize subcontractor and vendor quotations, ensuring quotes meet contract documents.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients.
• Prepare, coordinate, and evaluate subcontractor bid packages.
• Assemble material and labor costing information for the company's historical database.
• Formulate cost breakdowns from estimates for project managers' pre-construction budgeting.
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs.

Experience required:

• Previous experience estimating commercial projects.
• Computer estimating software experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including piping plans.
• QuickPen AutoBid experience.
• Experience with HVAC takeoffs.
