Career and Technology Education (CTE) Specialist - 226 Days (2026-2027) Starting Date: Jul 6, 2026 Job Description Job Title: Specialist Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Job Role: Career and Technology Education (CTE) Funding Source: Local Pay Grade: PR9 Department/School: Career and Technology Function: Educational Support Reports to: Director of CTE Maintains districtwide Career and Technical Education (CTE) data systems and documentation related to industry-based certifications, work-based learning experiences, state reporting requirements, and compliance records. Assists with data entry, record maintenance, reporting, and documentation processes necessary to support Career and Technical Education accountability measures, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) indicators, and state funding requirements. Key Responsibilities Model KISD core organizational beliefs and values; perform duties effectively and efficiently to support student achievement. Provide program support and service delivery; communicate effectively within and across teams and participate in cross‑functional work groups. Maintain a commitment to the District mission and actively support the efforts of others to achieve District goals. Maintain district records related to CTE programs, industry-based certifications, work‑based learning experiences, and accountability indicators. Coordinate the collection, verification, and maintenance of industry-based certification records, including student rosters, testing records, vendor documentation, and earned credentials. Assist with certification procurement processes including ordering exam vouchers and coordinating testing logistics. Maintain districtwide records related to internships, work‑based learning programs, training plans, contracts, employer evaluations, hour logs, and required documentation. Assist with verification and maintenance of CTE course coding and state reporting requirements, including Service IDs, V‑Codes, certification indicators, and other funding‑related data elements. Support district accountability reporting by maintaining accurate records related to CCMR indicators and CTE performance measures. Assist with data validation, reporting, and documentation requests related to CTE programs. Prepare reports and data summaries related to student participation, certifications, internships, and program outcomes. Maintain organized electronic filing systems for CTE documentation and reporting records. Assist in developing training materials and procedural documents related to CTE data collection, certification reporting, and work‑based learning documentation. Provide support to campus personnel regarding certification tracking, internship documentation, and reporting procedures. Attend and participate in department meetings and special events and serve on staff committees as required. Utilize effective communication skills; ensure all interactions with students, district personnel, parents, business partners, and community members are supportive, courteous, and respectful. Maintain confidentiality and secure all physical and computerized records. Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information and secure all required documents. Pursue professional development activities aligned with District goals and initiatives. Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives. Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree (preferred). Three (3) years of successful administrative, clerical, data management, or related experience. Experience in a public education environment (preferred). Experience with student information systems, state reporting, or compliance documentation (preferred). Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient skills in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and file maintenance. Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, reports, and presentations. Ability to maintain accurate records and manage large volumes of data. Ability to prioritize workflow to address multiple deadlines and compliance requirements. Ability to multi‑task numerous complex administrative activities. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies. Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs, accountability systems, and reporting requirements (preferred). Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling. Excellent public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Demands and Environment Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse. Occasional light to moderate lifting and carrying (less than 44 pounds). Work to be completed on‑site from assigned school or building; regular exposure to noise and computer monitors. No remote work. Occasional districtwide travel. Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; prolonged or irregular hours.
