To learn more, please visit our website: gemmalaw.com. 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of personal time annually, plus 11 firm-observed holidays Health Insurance: The firm pays 75% of the employee-only health insurance premium and 50% of dependent coverage. $50,000 employer-paid term life insurance policy 401(k) Plan: Annual 3% safe-harbor contribution from the firm Quarterly performance-based incentive bonuses Origination fee opportunities A professional development budget for CLEs, bar memberships, and conferences Responsibilities: Manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution Meet with clients to evaluate potential claims and provide legal guidance Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress and next steps Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies Represent clients during depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes Prepare cases for mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service Maintain organized case files while ensuring deadlines and court requirements are met Requirements: A J.D. degree and an active Rhode Island Bar license 2+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or insurance defense Experience using legal case management software Strong written and verbal advocacy skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Comfortable utilizing technology and modern legal software Bonus Experience: Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not representative of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
