Role Description The Certified Dietary Manager at North Valley Behavioral Hospital is a full-time, on-site role based in Huber Heights, OH. This role oversees daily food service operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising meal preparation and delivery for patients, staff, and visitors. The Certified Dietary Manager develops and updates menus in coordination with dietitians and clinical staff to support therapeutic diets and nutritional needs, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, infection control policies, and safety procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring food quality and portion control, managing inventory and ordering supplies, maintaining accurate records, and training and scheduling food service team members. The role also involves collaborating with nursing and medical teams to address patient dietary requirements and participating in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and food service. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to support therapeutic diets and specialized nutritional needs. Skills in Food Preparation and Food & Beverage handling, including safe food production, portion control, and presentation. Experience in Food Service operations, including meal service coordination, customer service, and workflow management. Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or eligibility to obtain certification within a defined timeframe. Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., state health codes, Joint Commission, CMS) and food safety guidelines (e.g., ServSafe). Strong organizational and leadership abilities, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary clinical teams and diverse patient populations. Prior experience in hospital, behavioral health, or long-term care settings is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in nutrition, dietetics, or hospitality management is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
