Physical Therapist Assistant

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Elara Caring, you will provide direct physical therapy services in accordance with professional standards and physician orders. You will follow the Plan of Care set by the supervising Physical Therapist and report any changes in patient status. Responsibilities include incorporating patient care goals into therapy sessions, instructing patients and families on the safe use of assistive devices, and implementing home therapy programs. You will perform duties in a physically demanding environment involving lifting, transferring patients, and working irregular hours as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area (approximately 50%).
• Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
