Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Job

CT Technologist Opportunity in Omaha, NE

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Omaha, NE as an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate Siemens CT scanners to perform diagnostic and interventional CT procedures for adult, geriatric, and some pediatric patients from the Emergency Department and other areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience.
• Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• Current ARRT certification in CT.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with EPIC (EMR) and McKesson PACS preferred.
• Experience performing CT biopsies, drains, aspirations, cryoablations, cervical injections, stroke angiography processing, and CTA coronary preferred.
• Must provide valid driver's license at submittal to verify distance compliance with a 50-mile radius rule.
• Candidates may not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity.
• Fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in termination of contract.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior X-ray and MRI experience preferred for day shift candidates.
• CT and X-ray experience required for night shift candidates.
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced department with strong patient care, accountability, and problem-solving skills preferred.

Assignment Details

• Typical scheduled shift pattern includes W, Th, F 7:00-16:30 and Saturday 10:00-19:00 as noted by client shift notes.
• Department has 3 CT rooms.
• May float to X-ray (overnights) and MRI (days) as needed.
• EMR: EPIC. PACS: McKesson.
• Weekend requirement: every 4th weekend for day shift; every other weekend for overnights.
• Call requirements: weekend call once every 6 weeks; weeknight call 3–4 weeknights per month when fully staffed, may increase if understaffed.
• Department orientation approximately 3 days; facility orientation hours noted as 12.
