About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the transition of a high-performing, founder-led organization into a scalable, execution-driven enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a business that is independent of the founder, with a focus on operational maturity, strategic execution, and exit preparedness. This role requires a veteran with experience in the $10M–$30M revenue range, particularly in the media, education, and SaaS business models, and a proven track record of working effectively with visionary founders. The COO will be tasked with operationalizing the AI division, optimizing core SaaS metrics, and preparing the company for a potential strategic exit within 3–5 years. Key responsibilities for the COO include leading and developing the second layer of management, building and implementing playbooks, SOPs, and dashboards to drive predictability, and ensuring the company's infrastructure and KPIs are ready for institutional investors. The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker, capable of eliminating the need for manual management through the development of robust systems. They should be a strategic partner, able to translate visionary concepts into executable roadmaps, and be prepared to make tough people decisions to ensure a high level of accountability. This is a hands-on role that demands a leader with the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and a strong focus on the company's long-term success.
