Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time BE/BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service Line at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive pediatric care for children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit. Practice Info Join the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service Line at South Oaks Hospital, a three-unit inpatient service. The service provides comprehensive pediatric care for children ages 5-12 and adolescents ages 13-17. Work within a multidisciplinary care team including child and adolescent psychiatrists, nurses, pharmacists, psychiatric attendants, social workers, and recreational, music, and art therapists. South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border of Long Island. The hospital offers extensive services for children, teens, and adults, focusing on improving patient functioning. Inpatient services include child, adolescent, and adult units, as well as substance use disorder treatments. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations. Provide evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Develop recommendations for continued care. Participate in medical student education.
