TITLE: Chain Sales Service Representative

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Non-Exempt , $18.00/HR

REPORTS TO: District Sales Manager

Purpose of Position: The Chain Sales Service Representative is responsible for supporting assigned retail accounts, driving sales execution, and promoting supplier brands through effective account service, merchandising, product rotation, and customer communication. This position stocks and rotates Donaghy Sales, LLC products; executes point-of-sale materials; builds displays in approved retail locations; identifies sales and merchandising opportunities; and maintains positive relationships with customers, store personnel, and internal team members. The role also responds to service needs, helps resolve account issues, and represents Donaghy Sales, LLC in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation).

• Service assigned retail accounts on a regular call schedule to increase sales volume, expand distribution, merchandise product, monitor pricing, and support shelf space management.
• Stock shelves, down-stack product, rotate inventory, and maintain published product freshness standards.
• Develop and maintain productive business relationships with account personnel through professional communication and sales presentations supported by sales history and account needs.
• Execute merchandising plans, including point-of-sale materials, displays, windows, showcases, and sales floor placements in accordance with company standards and account requirements.
• Identify and follow up on sales, distribution, display, and merchandising opportunities during each account visit.
• Introduce new brands and packages, support promotional activity, and work to increase effective shelf presence for assigned products.
• Maintain accurate and current information in the company mobility system and complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports, point-of-sale booking forms, and related administrative paperwork.
• Use sales history, inventory levels, weather conditions, competitive activity, and promotional plans to make sound daily recommendations regarding retail inventory needs.
• Partner with the Accounts Receivable department and management to help resolve credit issues, including collection of past-due balances when directed.
• Attend sales meetings and team meetings as directed, and maintain regular communication with management regarding sales issues, account needs, and execution priorities.
• Comply with all applicable legal guidelines, wholesaler agreements, company policies, supplier standards, safety procedures, and personnel policies.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including short-notice assignments, weekends, holidays, and workweeks that may frequently exceed 40 hours.
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and lift up to 150 pounds periodically with assistance.
• Perform frequent bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, stepping up and down, grasping, handling, touching, and gripping.
• Sit for extended periods while traveling in a vehicle and safely operate a motor vehicle as required for the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to recognize workplace safety requirements, follow safety rules, use appropriate safety equipment, practice safe work habits, and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Ability to maintain company equipment and vehicles in accordance with company standards.

Experience and Education Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. One (1) year of selling or merchandising experience in the beverage industry, grocery retail, or a related field is preferred.

Working Conditions: Work requires moderate to heavy physical exertion and may include exposure to inclement weather, vehicle fumes, traffic conditions, warehouse or retail environments, and noise from vehicles or equipment.

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, and twist; push, pull, lift, and carry moderate to heavy weights; operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and communicate verbally to exchange information.
