Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Physical Therapist for a travel job in Rapid City, South Dakota.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Physical Therapist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health role serving the Southern Black Hills area, requiring SD licensure and at least 1 year of experience.Details\n \n Home health setting within a Home Care Services department\n Serves the Southern Black Hills region including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa and surrounding areas\n Patient population includes medically compromised individuals (CHF, COPD, DM, cardiac) as well as ortho, neuro, dementia, and general weakness cases\n Patients range in age from early adulthood to geriatric\n Uses EPIC for charting\n Schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend rotation and no call requirements\n Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate for travel between patient locations\n Requirements\n \n Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required\n SD license required if applicable\n BLS certification required\n Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required\n Strong skills in evaluation, medical assessment, intervention planning, and care plan development required\n Additional Information\n \n Works alongside a multidisciplinary home health team including RNs, LPNs, OT, PTA, SLP, aides, MSWs, and case managers\n Orientation takes approximately 1 week and includes EPIC training, shadowing, and documentation process review\n Office closed for 6 major holidays with no holiday coverage required\n Time off requires manager approval\n Scrub attire of any color or business casual accepted; denim and sweats not permitted\n Free parking available\n Open to first-time travelers\n Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 100-mile radius\n Facility is known for renewing traveler contracts\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756540.
