Director of Cyber Security (Town of Texas)

EZCORP, a leading provider of pawn loans across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America, is seeking a Director of Cyber Security to spearhead the company’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy.

Location: Texas

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the execution of the multiyear Cyber Roadmap and administer the information security function’s strategy, operations, and budget.
• Develop strategic and tactical roadmaps to strengthen information and cyber security technologies, services, policies, standards, and procedures, and conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to align security initiatives with business goals, develop and maintain a robust incident response plan, and establish a secure architecture for systems, networks, and applications.
• Lead security‑related projects such as assessments, audits, penetration tests, and remediation efforts, while managing the information security team, including hiring and performance management.
• Oversee the monitoring, analysis, and mitigation of security incidents, manage third‑party vendor security compliance, and develop training and awareness programs.
• Define Cyber Security KPIs and risk indicators, prepare regular updates, and stay informed on emerging security technologies, trends, and threats.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within IT security, risk, and compliance.
• Advanced education in relevant fields.
• Security certification such as CISSP and audit training preferred.
