Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Schedule
Shift: Days

Requirements
- Valid RN license (Oklahoma or Compact)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Previous travel experience required
- Charting system experience: Epic (preferred)
- Clinical skills: Ventilator management, airway suctioning, titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips, central line/arterial line management, ABG interpretation, stroke management, blood product administration, IV management, and procedural sedation support.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize advanced technology to assess patient status and adjust care as necessary.
- Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate patient records.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 48 hours
- Travelers expected to float to like units within their scope as needed.
- Pre-approved time off: 1 day (must be listed at the time of submittal).
