Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / PCU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit serving an adult patient population
• Manage and titrate drips including chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix
• Monitor patients utilizing hemodynamic equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan, and EV-1000
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient safety standards in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to same-level-of-care units (Med/Surg and PCU) as needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, social work, dietary, and charge nursing staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Oncology and/or PCU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (recent experience within 6 months preferred for orientation purposes)
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Willingness to work every other weekend and adhere to self-scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification (preferred but not required)
• Prior experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000; on-the-job training available)
• Charge nurse experience (minimum 1 year preferred for charge nurse consideration)
