Financial Systems Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager of IT Finance Systems to join a global manufacturing organization headquartered in Northbrook, IL.

This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise financial systems, with a primary focus on Oracle EPM Cloud applications (FCCS, EPBCS, EDM) .

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of financial systems expertise, technical project leadership, and business acumen, with the ability to partner closely with Finance and IT stakeholders to drive process improvements, automation, and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design, administration, enhancement, and ongoing support of Oracle EPM Cloud applications, including FCCS, EPBCS, and EDM.
• Lead financial systems implementations and enhancements from solution design and configuration through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Partner with Finance leadership to optimize financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, consolidations, and reporting processes.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled capabilities to improve forecasting, reporting automation, data validation, and financial decision-making.
• Manage cross-functional IT projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
• Oversee FP&A technology architecture, governance, system configurations, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Internal Audit teams to support enterprise finance initiatives.
• Partner with internal technical teams, external vendors, and systems integrators to deliver scalable financial technology solutions.
• Support the Finance workstream of an ongoing SAP S/4HANA migration.
• Work with Cybersecurity teams to ensure appropriate security controls, governance, and risk management across financial applications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within Finance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience implementing, administering, or supporting Oracle EPM Cloud applications , specifically FCCS, EPBCS, and EDM.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Experience leading financial systems implementations, enhancements, and enterprise technology projects.
• Experience across the full IT project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, master data management, deployment, and hypercare.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and manage relationships with Finance and IT leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO).
• Exposure to AI-driven financial planning, reporting automation, or predictive analytics.
• Experience working with external implementation partners or systems integrators.
• Background supporting complex enterprise finance transformations or ERP migrations.
