Job Skills / Requirements

MPS Security is actively recruiting for an experienced and dependable individual to join our team as a Flex Officer, for our worksite in North Las Vegas, NV. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in security, who may be looking for an " as needed " position to supplement their current income. This position is unarmed .

Former Military & Law Enforcement are encouraged to apply (former military/law enforcement must have a valid guard card).

MPS Security Flex Officers are assigned to cover all company accounts, stepping in to fill shifts during employee absences such as call-offs or approved time-off. They also provide additional security coverage as needed, based on client requests. Flex Officers are expected to adhere to all active post orders at each assigned worksite and must comply with all company policies, procedures, protocols, and specific client requirements. Flex Officers are required to complete and comply with all supervisory training provided by the company. Flex Officers may have an opportunity to move into a full-time position, if they become available.

Schedule: Flex Officers are scheduled as needed and must be available to work all shifts , including day, swing, and graveyard . Work hours are not guaranteed on a daily or weekly basis, and all assignments are subject to change at any time based on operational needs.

Pay rate: $20.00/hour

Position Requirements: All applicants must possess a valid Guard Card issued by PILB . Please note: MPS Security does not provide Guard Card training.

Applicants will be required to submit copies of completed training certificates to verify compliance with PILB training standards. A government-issued photo ID is also required at the time of application.

All applicants are subject to a background check and employment verification, and will be subject to a driving record check if the work assignment includes any driving responsibilities. Any omission of prior employment with MPS Security will result in the withdrawal of any offer of employment.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

• This position requires a professional work appearance.
• This position requires superior report writing skills, and public relations skills.
• The required duties include foot patrol of the worksite, monitoring the entry and exit of client personnel and assorted vehicles, maintaining a safe and secure environment, investigate any disturbances, respond to all alarms, and the completion of a daily activity report.
• This position requires the completion of an incident report for all unusual occurrences or any suspected criminal activity.
• Ensure only authorized personnel are admitted onto facility premises.
• Respond to any emergency calls for assistance.
• Foot patrol the facility perimeter.
• Monitor and control access at facility gates.
• Monitor the alarm and camera systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid PILB Guard Card
• At least 1-year experience as a security officer
• Able to work 12 hour shifts without issue
• Excellent public relations/interaction skills
• Ability to use simple keypad electronic devices (i.e. computer, smart phone/radio, camera system, etc.)
• Must have reliable transportation

Nevada Guard Card
1-2 Years Security Experience
