Quality Control Manager/Director

Brief Description Our client is seeking a Quality Control Manager/Director who will inspect raw materials as they arrive at our facility, in-process production items, and final products to ensure compliance with the required technical standards. The director will oversee the overall quality program (ISO 9000), maintain compliance and certifications, reduce errors in production, manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and uphold safety and error-free shipments that meet or exceed customer specifications. Job Function Review technical specifications on most/all RFQs received prior to production to confirm sourcing capabilities for materials and equipment. Evaluate and review QAPs to confirm that all customer requirements are met. Confirm necessary testing equipment and establish required testing procedures. Conduct testing throughout production and prior to shipping to ensure materials meet technical specifications. Prepare and source Certificates of Conformance from vendors to document testing and monitoring procedures. Interface with customers and subcontractors regarding technical specifications, quality questions, and corrective action reports. Collaborate with employees to implement the agreed-upon quality standards into daily work procedures and activities. Job Requirements Associate Degree and/or 5 years of working experience. Certification in quality control is a strong advantage; ISO 9000 experience preferred. Understanding of Military Standards. Experience in manufacturing preferred but not required. Strong background in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Comfortable training and teaching others about maintaining internal quality standards. Good communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000.
